What this proves
HOSTELTUR conveyed that retrospective formulation to a professional tourism audience.
OPEN MESSAGE · TOURISM JOURNALISM
We do not dispute that Sun Park was physically refurbished or that MYND Yaiza operates today as a hotel. The narrower issue is whether wording about the “transformation of the complex” could lead readers to infer a unitary ownership perimeter, what documentary basis supported that wording, and whether operation, refurbishment and title should now be distinguished.
On 16 November 2023 HOSTELTUR published “Canarias aprueba la emisión de acciones RIC para el complejo Los Gigantes”. In its recap of RIC projects it described the former Sun Park Tourist Complex in Playa Blanca as having been transformed into the current MYND Yaiza hotel and referred to financing linked to employment.
HOSTELTUR conveyed that retrospective formulation to a professional tourism audience.
It does not determine registered title to each unit, resolve Matkator or third-party rights, or show that HOSTELTUR intended a legal ownership conclusion.
What source or record supported the November 2023 description of the former Sun Park Tourist Complex being transformed into the current MYND Yaiza, and was that wording understood or checked as distinguishing physical/operational transformation from registered ownership of the different units?
A tourism publication can accurately describe a hotel transformation without purporting to resolve registered-title disputes, and may reasonably rely on attributed Government/company material. We preserve that possibility and will publish any documentary correction prominently.
We do not ask for confidential journalistic sources. We ask for the non-confidential basis and attribution where available, clarification of scope, and consideration of an update, correction or restatement if current primary evidence makes a sharper distinction necessary.
