4 Green Houses, One Red Hotel

One hotel. Years of advice. Who was looking after the whole?

A document-led examination of professional advice around one hotel already in a red-alert situation. It reconstructs mandates, knowledge, advice, decisions, handovers, later events and claimed consequences without treating an adverse result as proof of professional negligence.

The title is a literary provocation, not a finding of professional misconduct. The manuscript distinguishes documented acts, allegations, opinions, counterarguments and unresolved questions; the full manuscript remains private.

The central question

What can professional advice really cost?

The book measures advice not only by invoices but by what happens around the client's asset. Its evidential sequence is mandate → knowledge → advice → action or inaction → handover → later events → causation → loss.

The discipline

The strongest defence belongs in the book too.

Every criticism is tested against what advisers knew at the time, the actual scope of retainer, reasonable tactical alternatives, client instructions and the possibility that later outcomes would have occurred anyway.

The delayed reveal

Four houses. One red hotel.

The title is designed to acquire meaning as the reader progresses. Its wordplay and professional-accountability layers are part of the narrative rather than a substitute for proof.
